A Florida Destination Wedding

Earlier this spring, I had the opportunity to capture Annie and Blain’s sweet and classic Southern fairytale wedding day! The Florida scenery was absolutely gorgeous throughout the entire day. As a photographer, nothing made me happier than having the chance to capture natural beauty. As these two exchanged their vows, the wind whispered across the lake and the Spanish moss danced above our heads. It took my breath away! This couple amazed me with how present they were able to be throughout the entire day.

During the exchanging of their vows, the duo took the opportunity to look around and take in all the faces of their closest friends and family who had traveled to meet them for this very moment. They had been planning their Florida destination wedding for quite some time, and now the day was finally here! Getting to witness two families become one and capture the pure joy surrounding those moments is always an honor. Getting to do that in a beautiful lakeside property in sunny Florida? A dream come true!

Annie and Blain chose the Cypress Grove Estate for their Florida destination wedding for its beauty and charm. This Florida wedding venue sits beside a lake and spans over 80 acres of an oak and cypress forest. It’s truly like something out of a Nicholas Sparks book! It was the perfect setting for the day they had dreamed about for so long.

The bride and groom spent their morning enjoying the views and spending time with loved ones. Annie shared thoughtful gifts with her family and groom, creating touching moments. Getting into her dress was extra special since she is a bridal consultant at Sophia’s Bridal. In fact, that is how we first connected! It was so sweet to capture the moment for her! One that she has helped so many other brides live out – when the dress is on, the veil is in place, and it suddenly hits you that you’re about to marry the love of your life.

After exploring the grounds and finding dreamy spots for photos with friends and family, it was ceremony time! And, more importantly, time for Blain to see his bride in her dress for the first time! The ceremony was smooth and sweet, and the moments of celebration post-ceremony with the wedding party were truly heart warming. The rest of the afternoon was a beautiful blur of sunshine, smiles and laughter as we captured moments with family, friends, and the newlyweds.

Annie surprised everyone with a dress change before the reception began, and we got to venture out again for some breathtaking sunset portraits. Once the party began, the dance floor stayed busy. Annie and Blain spent most of the night in each other’s arms. The day was truly so much fun and such a dream come true for everyone there, myself included! A huge thank you to the lovely couple for including me in their wedding day!
