Earlier this fall, I had the privilege of photographing Clare and Gregg as they exchanged vows at Soho63, a historic wedding venue in Downtown Chandler. This event space offered the perfect combination of modern and elegance with natural light streaming in beautifully. The naturally-lit Tribeca Terrace was stunning against the green hues of Clare’s bridesmaid’s dresses. Not to mention, we truly could not snap enough photos of Clare making an entrance against the grand gateway. Clare and Gregg sure knew how to pick the most fabulous place for their nuptials.
Soho63 advertises to the “modern” bride, and Clare and Gregg effortlessly blended modern features with traditional aspects of a wedding day. These two had a traditional ceremony and reception. But, they also decided to do a first look beforehand which is a more modern tradition. Choosing to do a first look devoted extra time to wedding party photos which worked perfectly with the timeline. This plan still allotted plenty of time for them to have fun with family and make their guests feel attended to.
This venue included both an indoor and outdoor option, which is a photographer’s dream! With the versatility, I was able to grab stunning photos both inside the neutral, timeless ballroom and outside, especially once the heat had broken for the day (hello AZ in September!).
The couple had a clean, tropical-inspired color palette and mood board, as they love Hawaii and wanted to bring a bit of the tropics to AZ. Everywhere you turned, there were monstera leaves tempting you to let loose and give into the beachy vibes. Their entire day truly felt like taking a vacation, as everyone in attendance was present and relaxed.
The features of the venue I loved most was the beautiful, clean ceremony space, as well as the cozy atmosphere that was Brix on Boston. The bride and groom opted to have their cocktail hour here, which was an incredible space with exposed brick. Think East Coast meets West Coast! The whole space was full of gorgeous corners for portraits, including a nearby overlook where you could see out for miles! Soho63 is surrounded by restaurants, trendy night life and amenities making this the perfect spot to get married.
If you live in Arizona and are planning to host a social gathering, corporate event, or cocktail party, look no further! And, for all my 2022/2023 brides, if you couldn’t tell I absolutely adored this space for a wedding and reception.
