A Colorful Wedding At The Speed Art Museum
Pure, bold and uninhibited joy… this was the emotion that permeated every aspect of Courtney and Thomas’s wedding day at The Speed Art Museum. These two love deeply and are deeply loved. It was only fitting that their wedding day would be as bold, colorful and fun as their vibrant relationship.
The day started with a mix of excitement and peace at the bride’s family home. The final touches were coming together!
The bridal party kicked off the celebration while heading to The Speed Art Museum, where the groom and groomsmen were already relaxing and getting ready. Courtney and Thomas chose not to see each other before the ceremony, opting instead for a first touch. This moment had everyone, including me, crying and laughing behind the lens.
The Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony was particularly touching as they exchanged personalized vows for one another. Once again, the room was full of laughter and tears! Despite the large guest list, the ceremony was intimate and the emotion that filled the ceremony space was truly something special. When Courtney and Thomas finally became husband and wife, the room was full of wide smiles and happy tears. I can’t say there were many dry eyes at all throughout the day!
The joy continued during their couples portrait session. These two danced, whispered in one another’s ears and erupted into laughter, creating beautiful, candid moments. They did share a few quiet moments too, where they were able to breathe, relax and soak in their new status as husband and wife. Inevitably, one would make the other burst into laughter again! To say we all had fun would be an understatement. True love and joy are contagious, and this couple lifted everyone’s spirits!
We were all on cloud nine throughout the reception, especially when the staff served espresso martinis to kick off the dancing. Courtney and Thomas led the way to the dance floor and showed everyone how it was done!
The night ended perfectly with a private rooftop viewing of the city’s Thunder Over Louisville fireworks show. It felt like the city made the finale extra special just for Courtney and Thomas! It was a true honor to be part of this joyful day. We are so blessed to work with such amazing couples who make this “job” so much fun!
