A dream come true
Growing up in the Disney era, many girls dream of feeling like a princess on their wedding day. But not many can say they got married in an actual castle! The Kentucky Castle is the most idyllic setting for a fairytale wedding. Surrounded by lush rolling hills and rows of sweet-smelling lavender, a wedding day here truly feels like a dream come true.
I’ve had the opportunity, as a photographer, to shoot a handful of weddings at this venue. However, each wedding has a totally different feel to it based on my couples style. For Meghan and Alex, there was an upscale vision for their day. They desired a classic, black-tie, elegant affair. Perhaps what I loved most about their Kentucky Castle wedding was the intentionality behind their big day.
Many of this couple’s guests were coming in from out of town, so these two used every opportunity they could to showcase their new hometown to them. They fearlessly embraced each moment of their wedding weekend. The day of, they made sure their guests felt welcomed and loved and truly spent as much quality time with each invited member as they could.
These two soaked in every moment with each other and their loved ones during their fairytale wedding.
This couple welcomed each part of their wedding day with open arms and trusted their hired vendors wholeheartedly. Which allowed them to throw themselves into every moment with unabashed joy! Your vendors are selected for a reason – utilize them so you’re not stressed. Speaking of ease, when it came time to celebrate Meghan and Alex becoming husband and wife, Meghan literally tossed off her shoes in excitement! We used this freedom and opportunity to chase the sunset around the castle. Laughter, joy and warmth absolutely radiated from this classy and fun-loving couple the entire day. It was everything they wanted and more!
