The sun was shining, a soft breeze was blowing, and the countryside was calling for this sweet spring mini session. The Boles family had recently made the move from the suburbs to the heart of the Kentucky country. In just a short amount of time, they are fully embracing rural life! With rolling fields, open skies, and the sound of nature all around, this was the perfect backdrop to capture their favorite place to be: the outdoors.
Olive and Shafe are the most precious siblings, full of curiosity and adventure. I loved getting to capture their bond as they explored together. It was pure joy! It felt as if the dandelions had bloomed just for them, waiting to be discovered. The magic didn’t stop there—they even got to meet a baby lamb, making the start of this spring session even more unforgettable! It was almost too much cuteness for me to handle! At just 3 and 1 years old, these two are already the best of friends. I’m confident they will only grow closer as the years go by.
The best part of this session was getting to capture these moments for their mom, a dear friend of mine since childhood. It’s hard to believe we’re now both raising families of our own when it feels like just yesterday we were playing tag at recess. I know very soon, our own children will be the age we were when we met (around 11!)
These seasons of life pass so quickly! As my own daughter grows, so does the importance of every image I have of her younger self.
