A Romantic Louisville Wedding at the Pendennis Club | Jessica & Oliver

Jessica and Oliver wanted a wedding day filled with elegance, timeless romance, and to be surrounded by the people they love most. Their Louisville wedding was full of beautiful details and meaningful moments. From the historic settings to the thoughtful touches, every part of the day felt intentional.

This was the second Kanerviko family wedding I’ve had the honor of photographing. You can see Lauren and Cameron’s wedding here! Getting to celebrate another milestone with this sweet family made the day even more special. There was a sense of peace that seemed to surround Jessica and Oliver from beginning to end, allowing everyone to slow down, be present, and truly soak in the moments that mattered most.

A Kentucky Derby-Inspired Reception

Jessica and Oliver’s wedding took place the weekend before the Kentucky Derby, which is more than just a horse race in Louisville—it’s a tradition that brings the city to life. They found a way to incorporate that local spirit into their reception in the most memorable way! The official Churchill Downs bugler made a special appearance to announce the entrance into the reception. Afterward, he played My Old Kentucky Home, and the entire moment felt incredibly special. There was something about hearing that familiar song in a room filled with their closest friends and family that made us all proud to be Kentuckians.

There were tears, plenty of emotion, and a moment that I know many of us will remember for a long time. To continue the Derby week celebrations, Jessica and Oliver gifted their guests custom mint julep cups as wedding favors. It was such a thoughtful way to bring a little piece of Kentucky tradition into their wedding day. From the historic Louisville settings to the carefully considered details, this wedding was a beautiful reflection of who Jessica and Oliver are and the people they’ve surrounded themselves with. I loved getting to document their day and work alongside such an incredible team of vendors.
