There’s something undeniably special about the end of summer. It’s that in-between season — slow, simple, and bittersweet. You want to hold onto the warmth and long evenings just a little longer. Yet, there’s so much to look forward to as autumn slowly begins to settle in. It felt like the perfect time for a maternity session.
Pregnancy is such a sweet but fleeting chapter. When I was expecting Karis, I loved having her close to me, safely inside my tummy. I wanted to hold onto that feeling for as long as possible. Those sweet gentle kicks, the quiet anticipation, and the forced slow pace (forced because I could only move at a snail’s pace, ha!) of those final weeks are moments I’ll always treasure. Yet even in the stillness, there’s an undeniable excitement for what’s to come — to see those tiny feet and hold your baby in your arms.
I caught the last of summer’s glow and blooms on a dreamy August night with Kelli and Eric. The golden light wrapped around them as they embraced this beautiful season of waiting. The end of one chapter and the beginning of another. It was the perfect evening to celebrate the love that brought them here and the new life soon to arrive.
Kelli looked absolutely stunning in a long, flowy green dress that moved beautifully in the warm breeze and complemented the natural backdrop. The endless greenery and pops of yellow flowers captured the final burst of summer before fall paints everything in orange and brown. Every detail, from the gentle sunlight to the couple’s longing smiles, reflected the peace and beauty of this season in their lives.
If you’re expecting and hoping to capture your own maternity session, now is the perfect time to start planning. My fall calendar is nearly full! However, I do have limited availability remaining for a few more sessions before the year ends. These fleeting moments deserve to be remembered! You can inquire about my availability here!
