There are some sessions that feel like pure magic from start to finish, and Morgan and Robert’s engagement photos at Locust Grove in Louisville, were exactly that. Between their two adorable pups, the dreamiest florals, and the stylish, laid-back vibe they brought, everything about this session was a joy to capture.
One of my favorite things couples can do to make their engagement photos truly theirs is to bring along something special—in this case, it was their dogs! Morgan and Robert’s pups were the perfect addition, bringing out so much laughter, authenticity, and sweet little in-between moments. You can just feel the love this family of four shares, and it made the photos even more special.
Their outfit choices were another standout. Rather than playing it safe, they leaned into pieces that reflected their fun-loving personalities. Morgan wore a beautiful white dress with delicate blue florals, a classic engagement look with a fun twist (since most brides-to-be opt for a plain white dress). Robert complemented her perfectly in jeans paired with a sharp checkered blazer. Together, their looks tied the whole session together in the most timeless way, almost like a nod to “something borrowed, something blue!” It’s such a great reminder that your engagement photos are the perfect chance to showcase you—your style, your vibe, your story.
And then there were the blooms. We stumbled upon the most enchanting backdrop of florals, and it felt like such a reflection of life itself. Sometimes the best things come when you least expect them. Like love, like finding your person, and just like these two finding each other.
