Stephanie & Joshua’s Elegant Wedding at The Seelbach

Weddings and tradition go hand-in-hand. Like peanut butter and jelly or cake and ice cream, life is simply better when they’re together. And when those traditions are deeply rooted in family history and celebrated in places as timeless as The Seelbach and St. James Cathedral, they become all the more meaningful.

Stephanie and Joshua’s wedding day at the historic Seelbach Hotel was a picture-perfect reminder of the beauty that happens when legacy and love come together. Their day felt like a story passed down, filled with charm, elegance, and heartfelt moments that will be remembered for generations. If their names sound familiar, you may remember this sweet couple from their feature in Kentucky Bride Magazine. From their stunning ceremony to the joy-filled reception, it was an honor to capture every detail that made their day uniquely theirs!

The Venues

St. James Cathedral

The venue chosen for the couple’s ceremony is known widely as one of the most beautiful churches in the area. A landmark for over a century, St. James Cathedral stands apart due to its distinctive glazed brick exterior, tower bell, and awe-inspiring interior architecture. As the light beams down through the sky-dome above, heaven really does feel closer.

The Seelbach

The Seelbach has long been one of my favorite wedding venues in Louisville. Its rich history and timeless architecture provide the most romantic backdrop. It is perfect for couples who want their wedding to feel both grand and intimate. I even included it in my list of Top 4 Wedding Venues in Louisville! Stephanie and Joshua’s wedding is a perfect example of why! As you scroll through their highlight gallery, you’ll see we even got a shot in the “Al Capone” room towards the end of the night. This is where the infamous mobster spent time making deals and playing cards.

From the grandeur of the Seelbach’s ornate ballroom—where they shared their unforgettable choreographed first dance—to the quiet, heartfelt moments in between, Stephanie and Joshua’s wedding day overflowed with joy. Stephanie beamed from beginning to end, and it was so clear how loved and celebrated this couple is. Their day beautifully reflected both where they’ve come from and where they’re headed. I absolutely loved the nod to Stephanie’s Italian heritage through the choice of food-particularly the dessert! I will never say no to a cannoli at a wedding. It was a true celebration of love with the people who helped shape their story.

Stephanie and Joshua, thank you for trusting me to capture it all! It was an absolute joy and an honor to be part of such a meaningful day. If you’re a 2025/2026 bride looking to book your wedding photographer, I’d love to be considered! Inquire about my availability today!
