The sun shone brightly on Eileen, Ryan and their closest friends and family members as they gathered under the forgiving shade of a large tree. Although we were in the middle of the Arizona desert, this little pocket of greenery felt like a hidden oasis. A soft breeze rustled the leaves, offering a moment of stillness before the day unfolded. Two families, two countries, and two cultures had come together in a celebration that was as much about love as it was about blending traditions. This intimate American-Indian destination wedding was a classic white wedding with colorful pops. These decisions were made giving a nod to the groom’s culture and traditions.
The bride and groom had friends and family coming from all over the world for their Arizona destination wedding. The guest list was wonderfully intimate as the couple narrowed it down to those who meant the most to them. There was a strong feeling of joy, connection and familiarity as people greeted one another, broke bread together and took on the dance floor. The bride and groom designed their wedding weekend to be as stress-free as possible. And, from behind my lens, it was just that!
Before the ceremony, these two spent a couple of hours together letting the weight of the day sink in. This was it—the day they had dreamed of for years. After their first look, they spent precious time with their immediate family. They soaked in the love and support that had brought them to this moment. Their ceremony was such a beautiful fusion of traditions that highlighted their love and commitment to one another. The sun beamed almost as brightly as the couple as they promised forever to one another. We captured the most stunning sunset glow in the minutes after they said, “I Do” and before they joined their loved ones. This crowd truly brought the fun to the evening celebrations and made it a night no one could forget!
