The storm clouds rolled in and the heavens opened up just hours before the ceremony was scheduled to start. Winds howled and a downed power line even cut off the lights inside Whitehall mansion. Most couples would be stressed and overwhelmed by these circumstances when planning an outdoor wedding (and understandably so). Yet when we walked into Anna and Mitchell’s Whitehall wedding day, there were only smiles and joy!
Nothing could dampen their spirits as we rolled into plan B for before ceremony portraits and the ceremony site. One of the many perks of an amazing space like Whitehall is that there is no shortage of gorgeous spots for indoor portraits. We loved getting to capture so much beauty and connection amidst the elegant Victorian backdrop. We didn’t even miss the electricity with gorgeous natural light shining through the windows!
The storm stopped in time for the ceremony, which was brilliantly covered to protect the floral installations and guest seating. Mitchell and Anna didn’t see each other prior to the ceremony, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the space when he finally laid eyes on his gorgeous bride. His reaction was one of my favorites!
Against all odds, the sun did end up making an appearance just in time to capture some stunning moments of them after becoming husband and wife! You’ll definitely want to scroll down below to see them all!
From the bright and elegant floral arrangements by Jamie Fairman Floral Design to the seamless coordination by Audrey Denham every detail was perfect. And, let’s not forget the delectable cake from Allie Baked —truly a cherry on top of a perfect wedding day!
Anna and Mitchell were beaming all day long, and their happiness was infectious. This is just a glimpse into the beauty and magic of it all!
